2017 Timetable Released

For the 2017 season, the railway will be open Sunday afternoons from Easter to September. We reserve the right to close the railway at our discretion.

In addition to our published timetable we can take bookings for groups, parties, societies, children and special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Teas & Cakes can be arranged for most bookings.

We will try our best to run the trains as advertised however the weather conditions may prevent us from doing so. During periods of poor weather you may like to phone us first to check if the trains are running. Where possible we will update the News page of any changes however we reserve the right to cancel or change the timetable, special events or other advertised attractions. We cannot accept any responsibilty for loss, inconvenience or delay caused thereby.

Admission to the nursery and station is free with free car parking. To find out how to get to the railway and nursery go to our directions page.

Winter Maintenance

The railway is currently closed for winter maintenance and alteration.

We are in process of installing a passing loop. This like having a layby in a narrow road to allow two vehicles pass. In our case though it's trains.

On a very wet Saturday we visited the Woodseaves Miniature railway only to find out they only run on Sundays. The owners wife met us and she gave us a tour of this very well laid out display/garden with the railway and 16mm railway running amongst the plants and flowers. They said as we had traveled so far they would get the diesel out and give us a ride, thank you so much for doing this for us on such a wet day.
Sorry for the fades in the film but this was due to the slippery track and the camera man giving some assistance.lol

A short video of the train trip on the Woodseaves Minature Railway, which is located about 2 miles from Market Drayton on the A 529 . The train is part of a nursery which sells numerous plants and shrubs. Refreshments are available on site . A 16mm track is also available for the 16mm steam enthusiasts. Two trains run a diesel and a steam train which is normally operated in addition to teh diesel on Sundays. A lovely place to spend a few hours really enjoyed it.
